Shocking Performance

The media is pushing a fake controversy about Robert Downey Jr. using make-up to portray himself as a black man.  To me, the shocker was how convincing the star of this summer's blockbuster (and I predict hit) Iron Man looks.  Downey's the actor in the middle.

Question: How do you spot a fake controversy?

Answer: Look for desperate journalists posting anonymous quotes from popular blogs.

But the backlash has clearly begun as one comment on a showbiz blog Just Jared said: "I'm not black and I find it offensive; are there not any talented enough black actors out in the world that they feel the need to hire a white guy to do a black guy?"

Aren't we getting enough race-baiting with the current presidential election?

Well, what is the purpose though? Any number of good black actors could play the role. Let me know when a black actor is made up to be white in a leading role. Hollywood is being hypocritical in many ways. They love to chant racist to any southern white boy, but then turn around and leave blacks out in the cold for a leading role worth millions? I'd say, they're a bunch of arrogant selfish inbreds, willing to give roles to favorites. Does not have to be racism to be favoritism.

Hmmm, oh and Gwyneth "Americans are stupid" Paltrow" No thanks, tired of supporting airheads rich off of American dollars lambasting the country that made them famous. Sick and tired of Hollywood flakes period. Even if the end product is good in this movie I refuse to support a bunch of self-glory jerks anymore who refuse to support our troops fully in this battle. These people are the most pompous, useless windbags any country has produced in a long time. Gywneth should go to a British football contest and skank it up with a bunch of drunk ballers, or to their wild festival in Nottingham where people are waylayed out all over the streets puking their guts out and passing out.

We use to have patriots in Hollywood that made movies supporting our military from John Wayne to Jimmy Stewart and more, even comedians and musicians from Bob Hope to Red Skeleton. Not anymore, not today, all trash all the time, America evil, conservatives evil, Christians evil, soldiers evil, anyone who supports liberty and freedom for Iraqis are evil. But Abortion good, irresponsible young men and women good, sex anywhere, anytime with anyone good. Drugs good. Trashing out nation is good, trashing our military while at war - good. A neverending story of verbal and incoherant drivel foams from their mouths like crack whores cussing the police for simply doing their job. They refuse to look in the mirror, nor cuss out their own greedy movie houses and paparazzi pimps. They seek the false light in the night of hollywood fame. They know nothing of truth, only false lives, lies and fairytales. Clueless they lead even more over the cliff and are ruining our country day by day.

Hollywood can fall off in the ocean and our nation would be better off especially if a new trend started with traditional values equally valid in movies. Comedy, Drama, Adventure, all did well for decades as conservative and Christian values interlaced with films and movie stars who once had character, charm and humor, plus understood how great our country was.

Today, they sacrifice America, Mom and Apple Pie for ratings to verbal porn and physical lust. Very little real talent anymore, just a bunch of lost leftist whining about a thousand problems in this world that do not touch them in their hypocritical green eating limo rides.

Sorry, this post seems so negative. But I do think they're all a bunch of hypocrites.
